About Southern Mold
A Local Mold & Water Damage Company for Tallahassee, North Florida, South Georgia & Southeast Alabama
Southern Mold provides mold testing, mold inspection, mold remediation, moisture detection, water damage restoration and post-remediation clearance testing for property owners in Tallahassee and across North Florida, South Georgia and Southeast Alabama. We work with homeowners, landlords, property managers, real estate professionals and business owners.
How we approach the work
Find the water first. Almost every mold call traces back to a moisture condition — a leak, a crawl space, condensation, drainage, or a building that is not being conditioned the way it needs to be. Identifying that source is what separates a lasting result from a repeat visit.
Scope the work to the problem. We would rather define the affected area accurately than remove material on suspicion. That usually means a smaller, more targeted project than people expect.
Explain things in plain language. You should be able to repeat what we found to your spouse, your agent or your tenant without needing a glossary.
Local, not national
Our primary market is Tallahassee and the surrounding North Florida communities — Havana, Quincy, Midway, Monticello, Crawfordville, Woodville and Live Oak. We also serve South Georgia (Bainbridge, Cairo, Thomasville, Donalsonville, Colquitt and Blakely) and Southeast Alabama (Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark, Headland and Eufaula), along with the rural areas around them. We use partner licensing in Florida. Buildings here have shared characteristics: humid summers, crawl spaces, storm history, and a lot of housing that has been added to over decades.
